Baby It's Cold Outside (Kalimba Tab)

The lyrics were written by Frank Loesser in the early 1940s which he sung with his wife Lynn Garland at their house party in New York at the Navarro Hotel. They sung the song together to indicate to guests that it was time for them to leave. In 1949 the song was featured in the movie 'Neptune's Daughter' in which a guy tries to encourage a woman to stay the night by saying that it's cold outside despite her wanting to leave.

As the song evolved it was officially published by the original singer Dean Martin in 1959 and since has been covered by many singers with the most popular cover version being from Michael Buble and Idina Menzel as part of a Warner Bros production. Despite the christmas song being an absolute classic, it has been removed from many radio stations following political correctness complaints from listeners stating that the song is predatory. Despite this, counter argument has been proposed that the meaning is about female empowerment but still is open to interpretation. In my opinion, the song is great. You can learn to play it on the kalimba with the notation below.
