Paul Anka - Put your head on my shoulder (Kalimba tab)

Put your head on my shoulder is a song that was originally performed and written by Canadian singer songwriter Paul Anka in 1959. The easy listening pop track was also featured in his album called ‘Paul Anka sings his big 15’. Since release it has been covered by other musicians such as The Lettermen in 1974, by Albert West in 1978 and again in 2003 by Michael Buble.

The chart history of the song shows that it reached No. 2 in the billboard hot 100 but the song never made it to No.1 - The original track featured a Bass Clarinet, vocals, three saxophones, a treble clef instrument and a ukulele. The music video for the song is relatively simple showing a young Paul Anka in front of a gate in a studio with an audience. The video has a sepia tone colour grading which likely came from the vintage camera it was recorded on. Below you will find the notes so that you can play this song on the kalimba.
