The large hand woven African basket pot comes with a matching lid. They are handmade in Senegal, Africa and the artisans are left to freely express themselves when creating, for that reason each basket is completely unique and will vary in size, colour and design. They are made from a mix of straw and recycled plastic that has been cut into strips and then woven to create an authentic African basket.
We have these in three sizes, small, medium and this one is our large. It is suitable for storing all kinds of items around the home. We recommend using this in the bathroom as a washing basket, in the kids room as a toy box, or even as a bedside cabinet if you would like to add a touch of African culture to your home. It comes with two attached handles which makes it easier to move it from room to room if that is required. We have many of these around our home all in different sizes and we use ours for storing cables, paperwork, washing, and even batteries in our small pot.
