The simplistic rustic design on this Recycled Bike T-Light Holder has been handmade from from recycled bike parts that have been discarded from repair shops because they were broken or had incorrect sized links, but now, with a little ingenuity, they have been given a new lease of life.
The bike candle holder has been made by first cleaning and buffing the parts, then parts are welded together by hand using traditional techniques. After that it goes through various processes to varnish the metal to an antique copper finish and finally it is lacquered to protect the metal from tarnishing.
This Fair Trade recycled bike chain Tea-light holder was handmade in northern India and the plain white tea light candle is not included. To use simply place on a heat proof surface. Do not leave burning candles unattended. The metal part becomes very hot after the tea light is lit. Please take care when moving and keep out of reach of children.
Each one is hand carved by skilled artisans working for an inspirational Fair Trade organisation in India. All of their metalware products are hand carved by WFTO accredited producers. Due to the handmade nature of these products designs may slightly vary but loveliness comes as standard. They are made entirely by hand using traditional skills handed down from generation to generation.
