The easy listening pop track called ‘close to you’ by The Carpenters was released on the 19th August 1970. The music video is simple yet effective. It starts with someone playing the notes on piano and the singer she then plays the rums as she sings then it moves onto the other music instrument players in the background. The original song was written and performed by Hal David but the music was produced by Jack Daugherty.
