Wonderwall was released in 1995 and was featured in the album '(what's the story) morning glory?'. it won lots of musical awards for example the MTV Europe music award for best song in 1996 just a year after release. The brit award for song of the year and and NME award for best single and many more.
Written by noel Gallagher and composed by Owen morris. there have been other recordings and versions by other aristist such as Ryan adams, 2003 wonderwall, Teemid wonderwall 2020 and The cooltrane quartet in 2009.
People in the media originally thought the song was about the singers wife/girlfriend about how strong she was, but really it wasn't about anyone at all, the song was made up from an idea. It's about an imaginary friend who is going to come and save you from yourself. The music video is very basic of the whole band playing their instruments and singing.
