This two tone solid wood Atlas Bongo Drums set was handmade by Atlas musical instruments in Pakistan. These bongos are tuneable and are great fun to play. Bongo drums come as a pair of drums with one that is larger than the other. This musical instrument originated in Cuba but is popular throughout Spanish and Mexican music especially salsa and bachata. The Atlas Bongo Drums are typically played as hand drums that are played with both hands, the most common eight stroke pattern is called the martillo which means hammer. The pattern works by combining four different types of sounds consisting of the edge tone for both drums, muted edge tone and the thumb and finger sounds which are considered the same sound. The product may slightly vary in shape, colour and design.
