The Hebei jingle stick 'pronounced; huh-bay' is a minimalist percussive shaker that is constructed from solid wood and has metal bells which when shaken produce a jingle sound similar to a tambourine. This Chinese musical instrument got its name from the region of Hebei which is a northern Chinese province near Beijing and is located near the river. In fact the name Hebei translates to North of the river in English. This name is a perfect fit especially considering it is the region where the music instrument was produced but also because of the sleek blue handle.
You can use the high quality wooden jingle stick instrument to create different rhythms in the studio but as it is easy to hold, play and produces a delightful jingle tone, it is also suited to players of all abilities. It is even great for introducing children to music although it is only suitable for those over the age of five years old due to the small parts.
