Description

The Ontong Monkey Drum is a double sided drum with a dot painted exterior that is barrel shaped which produces a more amplified sound in comparison to similar monkey drums giving it a creative edge. Stunning aboriginal design and floral ribbon edging highlights and separates the drum body from the paddle. The handle is hand carved which allows for a sturdy grip; this is essential to be able to play the instrument well. The small rounded wooden beads that strike the paddle helps the instrument produce a bright tone but for safety this musical instrument should not be given to a child under the age of three years old due to small parts.
