@all – Thanks to everyone sharing their thoughts. We understand that travel-risk rankings can feel surprising or personal depending on individual experiences. Our list is not based on opinions — it’s compiled using international travel-risk reports, global safety indexes, crime statistics, and government advisories available at the time of writing. Safety conditions can change quickly from one region to another, and the guide may not stay fully up to date over time. We appreciate the feedback and encourage respectful travel-focused discussion.

As soon as I saw Nigeria, I knew thus list was nonsense.

The Mad Scientist

My own experience of Zimbabwe was entirely positive: Great Zimbabwe, Matopos, Hwange, Victoria Falls all wonderful places to visit. The guides were helpful and friendly and spoke perfect English. There were no issues at all but I wouldn’t venture there without prearrangements, maintain the usual cautions, get your jabs done and have a great time there. I wouldn’t hesitate to go to Egypt or Colombia, staying away from any dodgy areas of course. The others in your list I shall be avoiding!

How about Palestine and Israel? They’re super dangerous and also what about Ukraine?

SK

USA is missing in the list. Foreigners are (especially blacks and Asians) are subject to racial abuse and violence. Most cities are highly unsafe to walk around

Zezè

Why exactly is israel not known this list. Israel is actually the most dangerous place on earth where no one, not even journalists are safe. Please put Israel on the list for humanity’s sake.

Halisim

USA and UK should be high on that list. As an African travelling to these, I am worried about Gun violence, gangs and an element of being mistaken as a non legit visitor.
Secondly, Sudan is way more unsafe that South Sudan.

@Skib – South Korea? You must be joking. It’s one of the safest countries on the planet for travellers.

Skib
