Edelweiss - from the Sound of Music (Kalimba tab)

Edelweiss is a sentimental ballad from the 1959 Rodgers and Hammerstein musical, "The Sound of Music." It is sung by the character Captain von Trapp, played by Christopher Plummer, as a farewell to his beloved homeland of Austria. The song has become synonymous with Austria and its culture, and its lyrics describe the Edelweiss flower as a symbol of loyalty and love for one's country. The song's simple melody and poignant lyrics have made it a timeless classic, and it is often played at weddings, funerals, and other important events around the world.
