The song is the passengers single, it became hugely popular with viewers because of the relatable words in the song. 'Only need the light when its burning low' meaning you don't appreciate what we have enough, we take things for granted always and cant cope when it's gone.
Many people will end or leave a relationship because they feel the person is not right for them, or they are not as committed and then once they leave them and its too late, they realise what they have lost, that love and friendship they cant get back, 'only know you love her when you let her go'.
