Skincare beauty routine for men

Following a skincare routine as a man is often perceived as strange, but I believe that there is nothing odd about looking after your skin, whether you are a man or a woman. Following a skincare routine daily and maintaining a balanced diet, and exercising regularly can leave your skin looking young, healthy, and spot-free and make you look more attractive.

There are many benefits to having good skin, such as higher self-esteem that directly affects your confidence and mental health. Following this schedule is easy, and keeping up with it consistently will give you the best results.

Hot towel

The first thing I would recommend for a skincare routine is to start your day with either a hot towel on the face or a shower. The heat from a flannel will open up your pores and will allow you to use a daily face wash that will remove dirt and excess grease from your skin. Many face washes contain antibacterial ingredients that remove bacteria responsible for breakouts, so using a good daily face wash after a hot towel will prevent spots and keep the face clean.

Face wash

I would recommend Baxter of California daily face wash because, compared to other products on the market, it does not contain as many nasties. It doesn't dry the skin as much as other products. It has no perfume, SLS, parabens. It is widely used by celebrities, models and other TV stars. When I watched a television show called The circle, I first found out about this product; it was a product one of the male models used, and he shared a few skincare routine tips that I later researched.

A little of this product goes a long way. A pea-sized drop on your finger is enough to cover your whole face. Although it is expensive, buying this product will leave your skin feeling clean and will save you money long term as you use such a small amount.

Moisturiser

Whilst face wash is for removing dirt from your skin. It can make your skin feel dry simply because it can remove some of the natural oils. Dry skin can cause irritation and can cause redness, so you should use a moisturiser on your skin after the face wash to replace the oils that have been lost. A moisturiser that I love is the organic anti ageing moisturiser from Holland and Barrett. A little goes a long way, and it makes your skin feel soft, moisturised, and smell nice with natural scents of blackberry leaf extract. It also contains a milk protein called biotin, which is known for its anti-wrinkle properties. It does this by improving elasticity and hydration. I like to use this product twice per day, after using a face wash and again before bedtime, to allow the skin to remain moisturised during the night.

Face mask

Occasionally I like to use a natural clay face mask that contains pure essential oils. This is a great way to pamper the skin and help you relax. Stress can cause breakouts, so if you feel stressed, try using a face mask to help you feel calm. If you are wondering what face mask to use, you should know that I have tried more than ten face masks created by leading brands to find the best one for my skin and also the worst ones; I share all of these findings on the video below.
